Visit to Singapore

14.4.2007-19.4.2007

On the way to Japan, for vacation, I had a short stay in Singapore.

FIRST DAY (14.4.07)

First days, I visited a perumal temple as it was the day of tamilnew year. It was just an exact replica of Indian temple.

SECOND DAY(15.4.07)

This day, I visited Jurong bird park. We watched 'Birds 'n' Buddies' show were the birds just amazed the audience by doing calculation, drawing and many more things. We also had a snap shot with parrots on our arms.

That evening, I had a boat ride (river cruise) on Singapore river. The night sky was dark and the trip was truely awesome! I had a nice sight of Singapore.

THIRD DAY(16.4.07)

This day we visited Sentosa Island by cable car.
I even took a photo with a python around my neck. It was quite a scary experience...

I went to Under Water World , Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom. Not to forget about the SKY TOWER! It was fantastic!

THIRD DAY(17.4.07)

This day I went to the science museum. There, I learnt many things. For example, this picture seen from one angle looks like an onld man and from the other angle looks like a young man. Our eyes see what our minds depict.

I also saw a movie named 'THE HUMAN BODY'. This movie show the activities that silently take place in our body.

That night I went to the night safari of Singapore. I saw many animals like tiger,rhino,ant eater,lion,deers etc.
After the adventurous safari, I saw a show called the 'CREATURES OF THE NIGHT'. It was very funny. The performers were very skilled. There was a tribal dance also. I never thought that I would really see one in my life! It was terrifying! Truely, the dancers were very skilled. They also had to be careful enough as they were handling fire.

 

LAST 2 DAYS(18.4.07,19.4.07)

Next two days, we were busy shopping

Singapore was a truly amazing and wonderful place.

Abacus State Level, National Level

ABACUS NATIONAL LEVEL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION

I participated in abacus state level competition and secured 1st position and was nominated to participate in the national level competition which was held in chennai. I secured the second position. The competition involved solving 100 sums in 5 minutes. I managed to solve 95 sums and secured the second position. The above photo was taken in the prize distribution ceremony. I was very glad when I heard the news that I had secured the second place.


The news was told to my aunt over phone at 7:00am. I couldn't even believe my ears. I immidiately called my best friend and conveyed the news. She was also happy.
